Cowboy's Prayer

The boys are learning so many new songs at preschool, and it's sweet to hear them humming, singing new lyrics, or acting out the songs. Harry has also decided to help me learn to pray correctly because one of his favorite things to say lately is: "God, we ...Mommy, you have to close your eyes and bow your head...God, we thank you for this day, yes we thaannnnnkk yoooouuu." It's sweet enough to increase my patience thru the other annoying new tricks.

The boys went to storytime this morning and worked on some mazes
the decided that the mirror in the grocery aisle was a great place to try out funny faces
Harry stepped up and tried to shush Jack so they could earn a little bubble gum treat; that'll have to wait until a better trip, for sure
they're finally napping and I will NOT be waking them up for any reason today!
They got a few new books at the library today (cowboys theme)
Cowboy and Octopus is a cute and short story about friends: jokes, truth, helping "Some things work better with a friend." So true
Cowboy Sam and The Confounded Secrets: all the secrets are in that big hat and it's so hard to keep them all safe until he figures out another way to keep his friends' secrets - cute illustrations and full of cowboy lingo
Fletcher and the Falling Leaves: along the lines of The Giving Tree with the fall theme, animals needing the changes, etc.

Oh, glad they're back to napping today.
The pictures are cute, I love the funny faced mirror one. You take the best pictures, your kids are going to have so many documented memories.

Naps are precious time. But I don't like to talk about it too much because I think I might jinx myself.

Also, yep, I am soooo busted with the "hot mess" being lifted from Chelsea. You know what though, I'm not embarassed, I'm thrilled that you know your pop culture. I tend to fill my brain with nonsense like that. Your boys are the cutest ever.

Grocery store mirrors! I used to do that! Sliding into memory lane now...

It is great that you are taking them to the storytime. I am glad that my Eddie has finally settled down enough so I can take him again. There was a period of time he was just too wild and wouldn't sit still there. But I persevered!
These days are precious! I miss that I can't bring Amanda to library anymore for storytime. &-(

So sweet they're teaching you to pray. :) I love to hear C and H singing songs they've learned, too. They were humming along to Vivaldi's Four Seasons the other night during school! Love it!
