Jack had chosen a whole lotta his favorite pix for his week as Star Student. He only took a few in, but I was playing around with them and made this collage....

Jack's class has a Star Student Of The Week every week, and it's his turn this week - he's, um, a LITTLE bit excited!

He jumped off the bus full of all the exciting things he gets to do this week, the first of which is taking in pictures for a bulletin board that's all about him. He picked these pictures, from in utero (about 20 weeks) to last spring's fishing expedition with Daddy and Uncle Les. It was fun looking thru all the old pix and watching him choose his favorites - he ended up with lots of 'firsts' and action shots that showed a bit of his personality.

When we went to town to print the pix, he got to choose a special little treat (the marbles) and took Harry and I to dinner at Burger King - I know, it screams Superstar!
How excited is he?!? He looks like a giant in this picture, it's amazing how quickly they are growing. I'm so lucky to be able to share all these moments, and we're trying to share as much as we can with Dean as he's traveling for work - we miss you, babe!

Probably not the best song title, but the boys were in VBS last week and responded to the prompts with a rousing Let's Go! They're still pretty enthusiastic and this song has been running thru my head. Hopefully, this won't mean the next VBS friends think we're too heathen to be invited ;-)

They had a great time learning about God's Word being True, Comforting, Surprising, Life-changing, and For Everyone. It was a great week, split up by Boy Scout Camp on Wednesday - tons of pix to come, but thought I'd post these taken by the great photographer at VBS:

So, they aren't really 'bad' cards ;-) but I was trying to think of a song and had Marley on the brain. I did forget the stats for the back, so they are printing new ones....if you want one, please LMK and they'll be in the mail asap!

Yesterday was picture day at preschool, and despite these mug shots, they looked pretty cute. They got the regular picture, one with them holding a bunny, and a cap and gown shot. I was taking pix like this during the pro's time, and I'm making licenses for the Trike-A-Thon next week. The kids will 'sign' them, then they will be laminated (the licenses, not the kids - hopefully).

It's official, they have met their goal for the backpacks! Now we've set our sights on an even bigger number, thanx to all you generous souls, so please be sure to LMK if you want to contribute to this great cause before next Friday, 3/27. I will be collecting money after that, so the only real rush is to make a commitment to the cause :-) TIA!

I saw Darius Rucker perform this song last nite, love it and hope they don't play it to death like they do with new releases. Believe it or not, there are some moments not captured on film at our house, tho they usually end up in the 'mental camera' ala Alec Baldwin's character on Friends ;-)

Last nite I wished someone would invent a flash that wouldn't wake sweet, sleeping babes because I walked in on what appeared to be a puppet show interrupted by sleep. Jack was sprawled out with these sea creature puppets on each hand. It looked like he had just fallen out mid-action. Aunt Carol gave them four sea puppets years ago, and two have survived - once upon a time they were huge, but last nite I had to pry them off his hands while hoping not to wake him. :sniff: Thanx again for a great gift that they have loved all these years!
