Today was the preschool year-end picnic, and it was just about perfect - great weather, great eats, and great friends! Here are a few of the boys' best buds, only three of which will go to their school next year :sniff: It's been a fun year, and we can't wait for summer!

...to say thank you and goodbye to preschool. Last nite was the boys' preschool year-end program, full of a little pomp and circumstance, songs, prayers, a video montage of the year, etc.
They helped choose the pix included here, so please bear with it ;-)

It was a LONG nite for sleepy boys!

I took video of the diploma presentations and am trying to figure out a way to cut them down to post them...hopefully soon. Jack said he wanted to be a sailor, motorboats, pirate ships, anything that floats as long as he's Captain Jack. Harry said he will be a Man, which got a nice round of applause...they settled on him owning a Jeep dealership at Ocracoke beach ;-)

Aunt Jackie came to watch them, and even brought cards with gift certificates for books - Jack and Daddy were reading all about it

They love Aunt Jackie, and I think the feeling's mutual

Their teachers collected work samples thru the year, and Harry was proudly explaining his Friendship Star Quilt

They were both thrilled to look back over their work, and they've read their own and each other's books a few times today (thank you for all your efforts, teachers!)

The final results are in, and I wanted to thank you generous friends again for helping the boys raise so much for such a good cause! The school raised a total of $3386 this year, breaking all their goals and previous totals, and thanx to so many generous friends, the boys raised $600. They really seemed to understand that the money went for a good cause, and even donated some of their birthday money, but they were also pretty excited to get their gifts, too - this is them heading to school this morning with their t-shirts and backpacks - Bikewell, the bear, graces their beds.

It was Mother's Night at the boys' preschool tonite - a nice dinner and field day activities. I purposely didn't take the camera, but Dean was nice enough to take a picture of us before leaving (we were prepared for the raindate movie with pillows and comfy stuff)

I did snap a picture of prepping for the three- (er, four-)legged race

The boys made some sweet crafts that I'll post soon :-)

Do you believe in luck? I stumbled upon this four-leaf clover yesterday while checking on our little baby grass seeds....how many hours did I spend looking for them as a child :sigh:

Who wouldn't want to live here? Hopefully the clover works its magic for our Open House on Sunday :-)

Grab that cash with both hands and make a stash

The boys received a tidy little sum of money for their birthday, and were very responsible about saving some, keeping some to spend and donating the rest to the Trike-A-Thon....that's right, they donated 1/3 of their birthday money to the TAT! How proud were we??

We made a little family trip to town yesterday, and they decided to break out their wallets at the dollar store for some fun stuff.

Hippity hoppity, Easter's on its way!

The boys' preschool Easter party was today, the last day before Spring Break....woohoo! It was a nice melding of the religious meaning and the childish joy of the season.

I'm not sure there's much sweeter than little ones holding hands in prayer

...maybe Harry's insistence on the *very* bowed head

They had to do the Easter egg hunt inside because of the weather, but the candy is just as sweet and a lot less soggy ;-)

This is why the Thank You notes are taking so much longer this year - it's not that they're not thankful....

...it's just that you'll actually get truly authentic ones for the first time this year. Thank you to all of you who have been patiently waiting - hope it's worth it ;-)

I Want To Ride My TRIcycle, I want to ride my TRike!

Today was their preschool Trike-A-Thon for St. Jude's (thanx to all of you who contributed; I, er they, have until 4/2 to collect. I think the school's goal is going to be blown out of the water, thanx to all you generous souls!) It was so much fun, despite the fact that my two were among the only non-bikers....they are so deprived :P
