Spring has sprung!
And they've been put in charge of dressing themselves LOL :cringe:

We met some friends for splashing fun after they both had great days at school - it was a lot of fun, C&C, and we'll have to do it again soon :-)

I was checking out the yard at the old house today (we have a showing tomorrow, fingers crossed) and saw this crocus poking its way out from under the pitiful ground. I don't ever remember seeing these before, so maybe it's a good sign. Again, with the finger crossing, I never realized how superstitious I am!

I was thinking about how I love this song and a similar JB tune Barefoot Shoes....if you're a fan of Jimmy Buffett, you may want to check out tomorrow nite's Crossroads with JB and Zac Brown Band.

Smart BOYS who knows how to flirt

We had a chance to help my nephew and his new bride celebrate yesterday. It was a lot of fun and the boys turned it into a flirt-fest....nat! They were honestly about as well-behaved as we could expect, despite being tired and dressed up for the first time. Harry seemed to be channeling Barney Stinson, and we kept expecting him to say "Suit Up!"


The boys met Meagan for the first time the same weekend I started blogging last year, and they fell hard for her then - that comment about Danny watching his back came to lite yesterday LOL Here are some highlights of the day:

Jack just told Dean "that lady's singing opera"

when she sang one of my favorites, Ava Maria.

I think that translates into: she has a beautiful voice ;-)

I think it cheered a few ladies,

and made their husbands and dates a little more attentive...heehee

I missed the charade Danny and Meagan acted out when he turned his attentions to her, but it made his day!

Of course once out there, a few moments of stage fright didn't stop the fun

They both did a little research before pitching their Trike-A-Thon sales pitches

"Thank you for the dollar, Papa Bernie, but I need the one with a 1 and two zero's!"

So far, he's hit up several people for the $100 donation needed to earn the backpack.

Resolution of Happiness - Spin Cycle & Tricky Tuesday

This is a tough one for me because I typically follow JB's approach in Trip Around The Sun (Jimmy Buffett):Yes, I'll make a resolution(Martina McBride):That I'll never make another one. I make little goals about once a week, sometimes once a day, and only occasionally meet them.

We went to the story hour at the library today, and it was all about bears. The boys picked this book to bring home, and it's a good one that I thought I'd recommend. It is a lot like Doctor Ted, and the boys were both able to read almost the entire book - yay! This real-life conversation mode is easy for them to sound out and anticipate. The main character is a girl who second-guesses her decision to not buy the broken bear at a yard sale, takes him home and makes a friend...sweet tale of friendship and daily youngster things - they both liked the illustrations which include Scrabble, books, popcorn and some other HJ family favorites ;-)
