Ho, ho, ho, it's magic, you know

It came, just the same

Look at those faces!
Does it look like he can't believe Santa brought coal?!

Why Can't Every Day Be Like Christmas?

It was a wonderful day, filled with excited boys, good eats and a fun visit by Uncle Les.
Thank you to everyone who made it brighter!

Goodbye, Mr. Snowman!

Believe it or not, lots of our yard is still covered in snow...but the snowman finally bit the dust

Harry and I went out to run errands and stopped by our favorite pizza joint for lunch the other day - these really are the best of days.....loving almost-6.

Here Comes Santa Claus

HO HO HO HO
I walked into the kitchen to find Harry composing this note:
Dear Jack, I want to get a toy for you
Christmas - whee!
Harry has the silly face DOWN
Christmas miracle, indeed! Two boys napped AND were in bed by 8PM ;-)
Harry composes his note for Santa amid a few of his favorite things
(Mrs. R., we'll work on the grammar LOL)
Jack finally wakes up and gets into the thrill of things
Harry's stirring things up
Jack insisted that we put in 'SO MANY marshmallows he won't even be able to see the hot chocolate!'
Sweet boys
Sweet treats
Tracking Santa with Daddy (he's in NY as I type this!)
It's hard to believe this book has survived those sweet little hands

Harry seems to be praying that we don't drop the camera this year...maybe Jack is wondering if it's his turn??
Happy Christmas to all and to all a Good Nite!

While the sentiment is a good one, beware this vehicle - he almost ran us off the road several times yesterday in the mad dash about town.

That for now the world is right

The snow has really given us a little gift of quieter time and taken some of the frantic out of my usual preparations. I've only been a *little* stir-crazy, maybe because they've been having so much fun and it's been nice to just relax in our new home. Here are some moments from the last few days, and the last snow pix from Snow-a-paloozo '09
They've been rediscovering old toys - Jack playing with a pirate magic show Aunt Jackie got them a few years ago...thank you!
Harry all bundled up for snowman construction - I couldn't get that scene from A Christmas Story where the kid is rolling around and can't get up. My Gramma used to say 'full as a tick' and that's how he looked ;-)

Jack ready to make his print on the new-fallen snow
Handsome Harry

I love that I caught their reflection in the van window
my favorite Snowmen
I couldn't capture it, but that moment when the some comes out and shines on the new snow makes all the mess and hassles worthwhile
two pretty trees
there were mounds of snow - Jack asked yesterday if it would be gone by summer...it has to be, right?!?
They look like some sort of agents to me (maybe I should stop reading this FBI/CIA book), and ohSOgrownup
The B/W lost some of the magic, but I still liked it - Harry spent about 1/2 his time falling-on-purpose....and posingand trudging
Meet Mr. Snowman
They reminded me of those little paper chain people
Jack's running out to check the final additions
Remember, you better not pout - only one more day 'til the big man comes. Jack was looking at the clock last nite and decided Santa will be packing up tomorrow nite at 6!

But it’s a green christmas for me

I've noticed a lot of this lately....

I take it as a good sign that things are growing in our new home :-)
