Mother's Day was gorgeous and full of love from my three favorite men - I'm such a lucky mommy!

The boys are so silly and love to make goofy pix, posing here in front of the 'treasure' - they led me on a treasure hunt with sweet clues. Definitely worth the effort!

We went to see Soul Surfer and completely enjoyed it - they had read about Bethany Hamilton's run-in in one of their Shark books. Jack was into the attack, while Harry wanted to know all about how she learned to do everything again. The movie was a great family picture!

After the movie, they took me to one of our favorite restaurants to wrap up a fantastic day - thank you to all my men - love ya lotsa!

Someone's In The Kitchen With MOMMY - Halloween edition

Jack has been my go-to kitchen helper lately, and he did a great job helping make these Halloween tortilla chips (we followed the recipe but added oil before popping in the oven and found that salting them before cooking made them even yummier!

Harry was invited to a shindig down the road, and he wished everyone a Happy Halloween with the chips

and thought a pile of leaves at the end of a big slide was a great idea! Thanx for including us in the spookfest, Kirsten and crew :-)

It was a busy day, because our cul-de-sac decided to party the nite before the hayride - great call, Dana and Colette - we had a wonderful time despite the fact that none of the pix came out well.

The boys have had an on-going love fest with Mrs. Shaeon, who spoils them rotten. This was their 2010 haul, but the hugs were their favorite part!

Thanx to everyone who helped us have a great Halloween! Next year, the party's on at our house :-)

I'll admit it, we're slackers...the boys' Aunt Jackie brought them these wooden projects the last time she babysat (August?). The boys and Dean finally got a chance to put them together one lazy Sunday
and Harry's added some of his favorite details - still working on the Mustang logo, but he's got the back wiper blade going!

We took a little trip to the science museum this week, and it was a lot of fun....and educational...and fun! They have a display representing the sun and moon - this granite moon weighs 1/4 ton

There were so many cool displays, and the kids are really into space lately - the planetarium is on the agenda for our next visit.

Well, birthday money was burning a hole is some boy pockets last week, so we headed to TRU. Harry got a cool roll-up piano, and Jack got a bunch of new Legos with their money from Grammy and Papa.
Jack chose this synthesizing guitar and Harry chose a monkey he names "Sweetie" from Grandma. Thanx to you all, they are happy boys!

We've found a whole treasure trove of videos that were in storage, and we broke out the School House Rock today. Much to Jack's annoyance, but then he listened and decided he LOVED it! They can't wait to see the other episodes, so thankyouthankyouthankyou, Miss Heidi for a much-loved gift!

I've decided that Harry's latest title should be Mr. Interjection. He's all about spicing up the verbage and has been reading enthusiastically to his class recently. Makes me wish I could have deciphered all those extended unintelligible chats he had when he was a teeny ;-)

According to Dictionary.com:

a. any member of a class of words expressing emotion, distinguished in most languages by their use in grammatical isolation, as Hey! Oh! Ouch! Ugh!

The boys got special trips to spend some of their Christmas loot as soon as they earned 5 red days at school -Harry's day was today :-) He refused to take this hat off, and even asked if he can wear it to basketball on Friday. It may not be obvious to the casual observer, but he painstakingly colored the entire hat and all the H-words around the band....our minimalist boy has developed a love of markers and color, to be sure!

Jack wanted to be sure he was in the background showing how proud he was of Harry ('even tho this is my EIGHTH red day'). It was a sweet afternoon - thank you, boys!

And thanx to Aunt Jackie and Fun Em for starting my celebrations off right over yummy eats - you girls ROCK (just like the new one on your finger, Em - congrats!)
