The sun will shine

My bonus nephew got married last weekend at Santillane, a historic bed and breakfast near Roanoke, Virginia. Despite a soggy beginning, the rain cleared and it was beautiful.

There were drenched family poses

silly dad poses for little shutter bugssweet moments with boys and grandmas

one very proud set of parents wishing their second son the joys of a long, happy marriage (they've been together for over 30 years!)

one adorable couple

(notice those cute bobble heads on the cake - big hit with the boys!)

fountain-loving Harry posing

and posing

and posing some more - how fake is that?!

After dancing lessons with one rockin' grand-aunt Iris,

Harry cut a rug with the amazing Aunt Deb,

and Jack did not like it!

Smart BOYS who knows how to flirt

We had a chance to help my nephew and his new bride celebrate yesterday. It was a lot of fun and the boys turned it into a flirt-fest....nat! They were honestly about as well-behaved as we could expect, despite being tired and dressed up for the first time. Harry seemed to be channeling Barney Stinson, and we kept expecting him to say "Suit Up!"

The boys met Meagan for the first time the same weekend I started blogging last year, and they fell hard for her then - that comment about Danny watching his back came to lite yesterday LOL Here are some highlights of the day:

Jack just told Dean "that lady's singing opera"
when she sang one of my favorites, Ava Maria.
I think that translates into: she has a beautiful voice ;-)
Jack and Grammy Sue checking out the pix taken so far

My obligatory back-of-their heads shot
Jack created the BreadSicle -
I guess you can dress them up....

I couldn't get a great picture, but Harry's wink was out in force.
I think it cheered a few ladies,
and made their husbands and dates a little more attentive...heehee
I missed the charade Danny and Meagan acted out when he turned his attentions to her, but it made his day!
A whole lotta romance

Who could resist those smooth moves??
Certainly not Aunt Deb or that lady who looks like she's waiting her turn...
or Grammy Sue....
and certainly not the bride, who was really happy to dance with Harry!

Of course once out there, a few moments of stage fright didn't stop the fun
Jack took the laid-back road with a lot of hugs from Papa Bernie

They both did a little research before pitching their Trike-A-Thon sales pitches

Jack: Watch this....

"Thank you for the dollar, Papa Bernie, but I need the one with a 1 and two zero's!"
So far, he's hit up several people for the $100 donation needed to earn the backpack.

And this response from Papa Bernie, Daddy and Uncle Bob is pretty typical so far

Something about this picture struck me, but I'm not sure ... any photog suggestions? TIA!

Danny and Meagan - it was a wondeful start to a beautiful life....enjoy every minute!

Video Killed The Radio Star

Harry serenades Grammy Young the other nite (and I wasn't even a bit jealous because it was so sweet, and they drove all this way). It was dark, so it's hard to see but you can hear his sweet voice singing Laurie Berkner's "Moon, Moon, Moon"

Jack hit the top of the stairs and broke into his very own Rocky imitation after their game the other nite (is this stuff just in their psyche somehow?!?)
