The FiremEn - BBQ

A friend invited us to a local fire house BBQ dinner tonite - it was de-li-cious!

then the fun began as the awesome Mr. Kenny gave the boys a personalized tour of the rocking new engine

They even got to talk on the radio!
Of course it was a button, dial, gauge fest :-)

Thank you to all the firefighters and EMTs out there keeping us safe

full of curves, lessons learned at every bend

A few of the lessons we learned yesterday:

H: Today we learned about pencils
J: (too many things to type)
Me: you can really zip thru the grocery alone, but it sure isn't as fun ;-)

Hearing another mom singing to her two cuties was a little reminder of how lucky I am; AND she knew the rest of a song I've always sung to them ....I only got thru the first verse and instead of 'standing outside' we always sang "I'd stand outside with my mouth open wide"

I just realized why I'm so tired ;-) We also lucked into a Fire Safety program outside the restaurant where we ate lunch today.

Saturday was a big Day with Daddy! First, they had their final soccer game and received medals and a few treats.




Then, Dean took them to the Countryfest celebration in our town. They had a blast, doing all sorts of boy things! They got to put out a fire with a real hose, tried their hands at boxing, bounced in all sorts of inflatables, and enjoyed it all.
