Flying as they run

Our awesome friends, Joe and Ms. Cheryl, invited us to join a group of friends saying good-bye preschool and hello Summer! It was a perfect day for it, except that Jack woke in a funk and wasn't able to go...he makes an appearance at the end of the pix and seems to be on the mend for a fun make-up adventure tomorrow ;-)

And this is what Jack did all day - he and Daddy shared an office
Jack has a thought about the treat Harry brought him, a pocketful of sand a clam shell and a rocke like he loves to collect on his adventures
Thank you again, Cheryl and Joe - you guys rock....and float ;-)

Mama don't let your cowboys grow up to be babies

The boys got to experience their first concert while helping Aunt Jackie celebrate her birthday...

They had a great time - sunny day, Willie Nelson, and a whole lotta attention from Aunt Jackie and her friend Lori.

They hammed it up for me after getting set up on AJ's blanket
Harry mastered the chillin' pretty quickly

They tried to get their first peek from the ground, but we did give them a shoulder-eye view for a bit

Wishing AJ a happy birthday!

Harry's version of the lighter salute

They figured out pretty quickly that it was hard to hear, but still wanted to gab

Jack made up a bunch of games (you'd think *he* was the one drinking!)

Harry reminded us a few times that he was really excited

This was our view, but the sound was great! Who can believe the guy's 70 - I think he sounded better than when we saw him 7 years ago.....maybe he's got something with that medicinal aid of his ;-) (Be glad the pix aren't scratch-n-sniff!)

Singing Blue Eyes Cryin In The Rain

We ran out of lite, so I'm still playing with the pix of Harry clapping with his hands AND feet (Willie was that good!) and developing his own field sobriety test.

It was a real treat to take them to their first concert. I have a long-standing love of Willie, ever since seeing him in Honeysuckle Rose when I was 14 (yes, I'm *that* old!), so if it couldn't have been Jimmy Buffett....

Little mEn you've had a busy day . . .

Have wheels, will travel - we took Grayson over to Asher's Mimi's house for some excellent adventures today!
Asher, Harry and Jack heading out to feed the horses and explore

It was an absolutely beautiful day
Grayson and Jack feeding one neighbor horse and donkey

Another neighbor's pair were happy to see Mimi and her carrots
Pretty much the definition of bucolic
Siesta, boy style

Asher and Jack stole a trick from Dean and left chalk love notes for the neighbors

We heard construction noises and checked out the diggers working on a new house's basement
Jack found out that he's pretty good at ping pong
They picked a few flowers for me
and I got a nostalgic blast from the past - we played croquet pretty often at my aunt's house when I was a kid, and I think this set is from close to the same era
Asher and Jack tried a little teamwork
Jack makes his first wicket

then Harry has some success

Still working on form ;-)

Four friends and a wonderful Mimi

A little Jenga before heading home
Believe it or not, lunch and all that fun happened in just a few hours and only had my head spinning a little bit ;-)

Perry Como's Little Man You've Had A Busy Day

You've got to count your many blessings everyday

We took a walk the other nite, and it ended up itchy and sweaty and not so pleasant....then I saw the pix and remembered the point ;-)

Jack trying to see what the wildflowers smell like
And daring Harry to do it

I love storm clouds, and the boys are slowly coming around

The camera didn't capture those awesome sunbeams streaming thru, but these are my favorite sorts of clouds, something the boys always remember. I am a lucky wife and mom, indeed!
Hope your days are full!

....no this big....

.....ok, it was really about this big
